GRETINA DAQ system

Status 5/28/2012

Channels:

  • Q4P2ε1 - grounded in the detector
  • Q6P2ε3 - FET/preamp broken
  • Q7P3φ5 - gain 1/10 - broken wire or bad contact in the detector - to be further tested

Radial boxes:

  • SN 005207 - over current
  • SN 005222 - over current

Spares available: 3

Digitizers:

  • SN 067h - errors on bits 9 and 10 with rate >100 kHz
  • SN 02Eh - errors on bit 12 with rate ~4 kHz

Spares available: 2 (1 red and 1 blue)

Manual BOOT procedure

  • Switch ON the VME crate with the trigger board
  • wait 10s
  • Switch ON all the VME crates of the digitizers
  • wait for green stable lights on the digitizers front panel (~ 2 minutes)
  • @op3:
    • cd scripts
    • ./CheckTS4.sh
    • For every digitizer timestamp error reported identify the IOC failing dividing the digitizer number by 4 and adding 1 and (the following example works for IOC#12):
      • ssh gsoper:7012@10.0.0.11
      • pw:
      • push <enter> again
      • if you get a prompt like this vme12→
        • then give the command <fix
        • else push CTRL-x
      • wait that the procedure end (~ 2 minutes)
      • exit from the IOC control by pushing ~.
    • Iterate the previous procedure till ./CheckTS4.sh says that all the timestamp of the digitizers are OK
