King-Chávez-Parks Future Faculty Fellowship Program (FFF)
Eligibility: completed with comprehensive exams, completed with a dissertation proposal (or be in the process of completing it), and have an up-to-date Ph.D. degree plan in GradPlan. Able to demonstrate how one has faced educational and/or economic obstacles. committed to inclusive excellence as evidenced by participation in relevant programs, activities, and organizations (participants in the MSU AGEP Learning Community are encouraged to apply).
Funding amount: $35 000 for 1 year
Application deadline: Early March (To Be Updated)
Requirements: Complete a doctoral degree within two years of receiving the fellowship. Complete a 3-year service obligation that can be met by a part- or full-time postsecondary teaching or approved administrative position (pre-approved teaching assistantships count toward this obligation). Present a paper at one annual fall MSU AGEP Conference. Obtain a part- or full-time faculty teaching or approved administrative position in an accredited, public two- or four-year postsecondary institution within one year after obtaining the doctoral degree.
Notes: MSU supplements the award with a health care allowance, one credit of tuition and fees for the Fall and Spring semesters, and one credit of tuition and fees for a Summer semester.
