**Abstract**

High Intensity heavy-ion Accelerator Facility (HIAF) is being built by IMP in Huizhou, China. HIAF major scientific motivations are exploration of the unknown nuclear chart and study of exotic nuclear structure and properties, understanding of the origin of heavy elements in the Universe, measurements of nuclear masses precisely in broad region, study of the QCD phase structure of nuclear matter, and development of new heavy-ion applications as well. HIAF accelerator facility consists of 28-45 GHz highly-charged ECR ion sources, a superconducting heavy ion linac as an injector with beam energy 17-22 MeV/A for uranium beam (iLinac), a heavy ion synchrotron with maximum beam energy up to 0.8-2.45 GeV/A at different operation mode expecting to reach 2x1011 ppp beam intensity for uranium beam (BRing), a multi-working-mode storage ring as a high precision spectrometer (SRing), and a few experimental setups and terminals as well. Installations and tests of all the HIAF accelerator components have been completed after 7 years construction started in 2018, and now HIAF has come to beam commissioning phase. This seminar will give an overview of HIAF project and current status. The presentation will focus on the 10 years key technology R&D for HIAF accelerator demonstrating high intensity performance, including high intensity 28-45 GHz ECR ion sources, high-intensity heavy-ion RFQ and superconducting ion linac, fast ramping power supply with full energy storage for dipole magnets (12T/s, ±38000A/s), magnetic alloy core loaded RF system, and so on. Finally, future plan for HIAF facility (HIAF phase-II) will be reviewed briefly.
