This is an old revision of the document!

14002:
Before vault:

  • Get pallets from storage (where do we put them? HiRA lab?)
  • Organize schedule with facilities to install chamber, TMP
  • Organize, assemble, test electronics (e.g. what kind of XLMs will we use?)
  • Remove dEs from telescopes
  • Test Es and decide on telescope arrangement
  • Plan out flange mapping
  • Will there be any detectors running at 2 gains like last time?
  • Procure an alpha source (does the lab have a new one yet?)

In vault:

  • Alignment (Dave Sanderson)
  • Install electronics (both Si and Csi), test with pulser
  • Clean chamber and get good vacuum
  • Flush and install chiller
  • Set up HV crate with proper bias mapping (with WU boxes probably)
  • Install telescope mount structure
  • Install telescopes, cable, hook up cooling carefully
  • Retest electronics (Si and CsI) with detectors connected, make sure everything biases properly
  • Test setup with alpha source
  • Setup targets
  • Align targets with telescope

14009:

Before 14002:

  • Think about modifications for dE setup
  • Test dE PA box (confirm how many PAs we have that work)

After 14002:

  • Remove telescopes, install dEs
  • Install dEs (maybe test them first, before removing them for 14002?)
  • Will we use a HiRA telescope at 0 deg? If so, we need a mount. If not, we need the detectors as well as a mount and proper electronics. Do we need to worry about radiation damage?
  • Install mount at 0 deg, associated electronics, and dE electronics/PA box
  • Install HiRA telescopes
  • Set up DE bias in HV crate
  • Test with alpha source
  • Make sure Si E and CsI electronics still set up properly
