Responding to SRF cavity trips

  1. Determine which cavity has tripped
    1. MPS failed device dialogue box
    2. RF main page or any cavity status page
  2. Navigate to the LLRF interlock detail page
  3. If any of the following interlocks are present do not reset the latch or the cavity, skip directly to last step. See image below
    1. PLC
    2. Spark Detectors
    3. Excessive Cavity Field
    4. Tuner Fault
    5. CCG Low/High
    6. Bias Tee Low/High
  4. If the cavity is interlocked on something other than the above list reset the interlock and restart the cavity
  5. If the cavity trips off again or trips off on Cavity Field Low you may have to perform a reduce recover on the surrounding cavities. If cavity trips off again skip to last step
  6. Call SRF personnel on call
