Super Conducting Magnets(SCM)

Info

Similar to the dipoles in FS1, the super conducting magnets are also used to alter the beams path, however these magnets are stronger than the dipoles. To achieve their stronger magnetic fields, these magnets have coiled wires made of special material. Due to the material, when their temperature is dropped incredibly low, below ~10 K, the wires can then conduct without any resistance. This then allows for larger magnetic fields to be generated. With the increased strength, they are used to bend the beam after it leaves LS2 and moves through FS2 since the by the time beam leaves LS2 it has done most of its acceleration.
