FRIB Operators

These devices are electromagnets. They emit a uniform magnetic field, of which the beam of particles will travel through. Utilizing the direction of the beam moving through the field lines of the magnetic field being produced, dipoles can be used to alter the path the beam travels. You will typically find these dipoles in places along the beam line where you see some sort of bead occurring, ex.: BDS Dipole.
