====== Setting the attenuator threshold interlock ======

As of OSE Revision 11 it is no longer necessary to set an attenuator threshold interlock any time primary beam is being sent past the target dump, instead SCD3 located in the Target Hall is locked out to prevent any primary beam from being sent upstairs. The feature of locking attenuators in place still exists within the PPS rack.

The form below goes through the steps to calculate the threshold.  Once calculated, the threshold is set in the PPS rack.

It is important to note that while the threshold is in place, the attenuators may not be changed without moving out of beam permit.
