We are happy you have agreed to give an invited talk at the FRIB for the Nuclear Theory Seminar Series. Below is some helpful information regarding your talk:
Time and Schedule
The seminar is scheduled at 11:00 am with a time limit of 40 minutes for the presentation and 20 minutes for discussions (this may be different depending on the circumstances of your visit)
Starting at 1:00 pm, we will arrange for you to meet with our graduate students over coffee and dessert. The graduate discussions will last about 30 minutes.
Throughout the day, we will arrange 30 minute time slots to meet with members of the laboratory
Target Audience
The audience comes from a diverse nuclear science background including nuclear theory, experimental and accelerator physics, and astrophysicists; all working on a wide range of topics within FRIB.
Please direct your talk to graduate students that are non-experts on the specific sub-field presented, at a level of detail that can be absorbed within the hour.
Coffee Discussion
One week before the seminar we give our graduate students a primer on the topic of your talk during a scheduled “Coffee Discussion” held by the FRIB Nuclear Theory Group.
Please send us your title and abstract at least three weeks in advance so we can prepare for the coffee discussion.
